On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ has developed the Stocktaking for National Adaptation Planning (SNAP) tool. The tool provides a snapshot of the planning capacities that are currently available and intended in a country. It thus helps to identify the country’s point of departure for initiating the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) process.
