Regional MSME Perception Survey Announced
for Caribbean Green Energy Adoption and Energy Efficiency Toolkit
for MSMEs and Promotion of a Just Energy Transition

Caribbean Export Development Agency, in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is implementing the Caribbean Green Energy Adoption and Energy Efficiency Toolkit for MSMEs and Promotion of a Just Energy Transition project (TC RG-T4402). The project will give Caribbean MSMEs practical tools to cut energy and resource costs, strengthen their competitiveness and meet the sustainability standards that buyers and export markets increasingly require. It will deliver an Energy Audit Application, training in energy efficiency, Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP), Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) and ISO 50001, and a regional campaign to help businesses put them to use. You can learn more about the project here: Caribbean Green Energy Adoption and Energy Efficiency Toolkit for MSMEs.

As a first step, we are conducting a regional MSME Perception Survey across the 15 countries covered by the project: Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. The survey will establish a baseline of how businesses currently approach:

  • Energy Efficiency (EE)
  • Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP)
  • Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS)

The findings will shape the Energy Audit Application, the training programme and future support for MSMEs, so that it reflects the realities and priorities of businesses in each of our member countries.

The survey takes approximately 12 to 17 minutes to complete and will remain open until Friday 11 December 2026. Participation is voluntary, and the survey does not request names or personal contact information. Responses will be analysed and reported in aggregate.

The survey is available in five languages. Please share the link that matches the language of your members:
