Grenada National Water Policy

Approved by the cabinet of the Government of Grenada

The Water Policy is based on the understanding that water is a socially‐vital, economic good that requires
a coordinated and participatory management approach, a commitment to good governance together with accountability and transparency that provides a sound platform for sustained economic growth and the reduction of poverty and inequality. Water’s contribution to economic and social development must also take account of the importance of balancing competing water uses with the requirements of its many
interrelationships within the ecosystem.
